About

Hello. I’m Jonathan.

My name is Jonathan W. Thomas, and I’m a writer based in Northwest Indiana. I write for a living for my main business, Anglotopia.net, and also for my wife’s business, South Shore Public Relations. The kind of writing I do for work is not really the kind of writing I envisioned I would be doing by this point in my life.

So, Ephemera was born. It’s a journal that collects essays, short fiction, and articles on topics that interest me — or that I think would interest people who follow my writing here or on social media. It’s a collection that will seem random to the outside observer, but encompasses many of the things that interest me: local history, tech, culture, and life in general.

I grew up in Ogden Dunes, on the shore of Lake Michigan, and I’ve spent the better part of twenty-five years traveling Britain and writing about it. That obsession became Anglotopia, Londontopia, a podcast, and three books — the Anglophile Trilogy.
